How Do I Store My Electric Scooter?
Don't plan on using your scooter for awhile? Need to store it? There are a couple simple guidelines to follow to ensure your scooter's longevity.
Where to store?
- Scooters should be stored indoors to protect the scooter's components from the elements. If your scooter must be stored outside, ensure that it is properly covered and kept out of the rain or snow. Batteries should also be removed and kept indoors.
- While the temperature of the room is not a high concern, avoid the scooter being kept in storage that experiences extreme temperatures.
Tips for Storage:
- If you do not plan to use the scooter for several months, every month, charge up your battery to at least 50%. Keeping energy in the battery cells will help to keep battery capacity at its original level for longer. Avoid letting your battery level drop to 0%.
What To do After Storage?
- Check your tire pressure. Ensure that they are filled up to the correct PSI. Tires can slowly loose pressure over time.
