Levy Plus battery end cap is loose or separating
If the cap is loose
Stop using and charging the battery while its end cap is loose or separating. Do not touch exposed wiring or contacts, force the cap back into place, or open the battery pack.
Contact Levy Support with clear photos of the cap, screw holes, battery connection and matching connection in the scooter, plus your order number and battery serial number if we do not already have them.
Why this can happen
Pulling the battery out at an angle can put strain on the contact-end cap and its retaining screws, allowing the cap to separate from the casing. A loose cap does not by itself establish an internal battery failure or prove that the owner removed it incorrectly.
Support will review the cap, screw mounts, wiring and contacts to determine the appropriate repair. Replacement cap screws may be suitable when these parts are undamaged. A cracked cap, stripped or broken screw mounts, damaged wiring or damaged contacts need further repair review; screws alone may not resolve those issues. Do not resume use until the repair is confirmed.
Removing the Levy Plus battery correctly
For normal removal of an undamaged battery, switch the scooter off and disconnect the charger. Release the spring latch, then lift the battery vertically straight up as far as it will go.
After lifting it fully, keep the battery upright and parallel to the stem and pull it horizontally out. Move it straight outward without tilting, twisting or levering the pack diagonally. Do not force a stuck battery.

Inserting the battery
Start at the very top of the scooter's stem and slide the upright battery horizontally into place. Then push the battery straight down until it clicks securely into place. Do not insert it diagonally or use force.
Replacement cap screws
The Levy Plus battery cap screw kit is SKU BATTERY-CAP-SCREWS. One kit contains eight screws for the top and bottom of the Levy Plus battery. Support can help arrange the correct kit after reviewing the issue.
Contact Support for the repair instructions that apply to your battery. We will review your photos and confirm the repair options and any applicable warranty coverage.
