I bent my rim and my tire won't hold air
If you end up in a situation where your wheel / rim is bent and your tire won't hold air, there are a few different options you have for getting back on the road:
- If the bend is very small, sometimes using tire / bead sealant will be enough to seal up any leaks around the wall of the rim. This wouldn't require removing or replacing the tire and would be the easiest solution.
- Alternatively, you could replace your tire with a solid rubber tire. As long as the damage to the rim in minor, using a solid tire is a good option as they are not pneumatic and would take care of any problems with leaking air.
- If the damage to the rim is severe, your best option is to replace it. We have replacement rear wheel-sets as well as front motors available for purchase on our website.
