Do you need a license for an electric scooter?
In the US, a drivers license is not currently required to ride our electric scooters, which operate at speeds under 20mph and are intended for use in bike lanes and not major highways.
Some states, however, may impose age restrictions for operating these types electric scooters. New York, for example, requires that riders must be over the age of 16. Please check with your local jurisdiction for the latest age and helmet requirements for operating these scooters.
