Adding Vehicles in Bulk to Levy Fleets
If you need to upload multiple vehicles to Levy fleets, there's an easy way to do it in bulk using the Airtable backend. Here's how you can quickly and easily add new vehicles to Levy fleets using a pre-formatted CSV file.
Step 1: Export your vehicle list to a CSV file
Once you have your list of vehicles that you want to import into Levy fleets, you can export them into a CSV file. You will then add them into the Airtable backend and generate a CSV file that is pre-formatted to add new vehicles.
Step 2: Add the IMEIs, subaccount ID, and IOT model
After exporting your vehicle list, you will need to add all of your IMEIs as new IOTs into your account. You will also need to set the subaccount ID and the IOT model. For the subaccount ID, you can pull it from Levy Fleets. For the IOT model, it will depend on the type of vehicle you're adding.
Step 3: Add the vehicle number / QR code, and associated IOT
Next, you'll add the vehicles and the main thing you need to pull is the QR code and the associated IOT. You will add the vehicle number QR code and then paste in the corresponding IOT from the Segway dashboard. This is what will match up the actual vehicle identifier (QR code) to the IOT associated with it.
Step 4: Add the vehicle model ID and subaccount ID
You will need to pull the vehicle model ID directly from Levy fleets and paste it in. Additionally, you'll need to grab the subaccount ID, which can be found in the same place as the IOT model.
Step 5: Filter and download the CSV
Once you have all of the necessary information added to your CSV file, you can filter it to only show the vehicles that have not yet been added. This will help you avoid duplicates. Then, download the filtered CSV file.
Step 6: Add the IOTs and Vehicles in bulk
Usually, the system will find the IOTs automatically based on the data being sent from Segway to Levy fleets. However, you can add them in bulk using the filtered CSV file you just created.
