Dispute Processing Fees — How to Reverse
What Is a Dispute Processing Fee?
When a customer files a chargeback or dispute with their bank for any Levy ride charge, a $50 dispute processing fee is automatically applied to their Levy wallet. This fee is charged by the payment processor and is non-negotiable while the dispute remains open.
The disputed charge amount is also held (debited from the wallet), which is why customers with open disputes often see a negative wallet balance.
How to Get Dispute Fees Reversed
The only way to reverse dispute processing fees is for the customer to:
Contact their bank and request to withdraw/revoke the dispute.
Obtain written confirmation from the bank that the dispute has been withdrawn. This must be on official bank letterhead.
Send the letterhead document to our support team (support@levyelectric.com).
Once we receive and verify the bank letterhead confirming the dispute withdrawal, we will reverse the $50 processing fee and restore the wallet balance.
Important Notes
Levy support cannot reverse the fee directly — it requires proof of dispute withdrawal from the bank.
A screenshot of an app or online banking portal is not sufficient — it must be on official bank letterhead.
While a dispute is open, no refunds or wallet adjustments can be made on the account.
If the customer prefers to resolve the issue directly with Levy instead of going through their bank, they must first withdraw the dispute before we can process any adjustments.
