How to Replace the Dashboard Assembly

 

1. Remove the IOT

•Remove the two M6*20 screws on the front tube.

•Detach the IOT and disconnect its wire harness.

•Disconnect the cable between the front control and the atmosphere lamp.

2. Remove the Forehead Trim Cover

•Use a TT20 bit to remove the four screws on the back and front of the forehead decorative cover plate.

•Remove the two screws on the back of the forehead decorative cover plate with a TT20 bit.

•Simultaneously, remove the turn signal switch and disconnect its connecting wire.

3. Remove the Stem Assembly

•Disconnect all control lines from the meter assembly.

•Use tweezers to remove the four screw dust plugs.

•Remove the four screws with a TT20 bit and take out the instrument assembly.

4. Install the Stem Assembly

•Take out the new instrument assembly.

•Pass the three wires connecting the IOT and atmosphere lamp through the forehead.

•Pass the remaining wires through the forehead hole.

•Mount the four M4*16 screws with a TT20 bit, torque them to 1.8-2.0 N.m.

•Insert the four threaded hole plugs and connect them according to the color of the wire protection tubes.

5. Install the Forehead Trim Cover

•Connect the turn signal switch wiring harness.

•Fix the back of the decorative cover plate to the forehead and lock it with two M4*12 inner hexagonal stainless steel screws using a TT20 bit, with a torque of 0.7-0.9 N.m.

•Install the turn signal switch on the back of the decorative cover plate, ensuring the cable colors (white, black, and red from left to right) are correct.

•Organize the cables and place them in the cover plate.

•Install the front of the cover plate and lock the four hexagonal stainless steel self-tapping screws from below the forehead using a TT20 bit, with a torque of 0.8 ± 0.1 N.m. This completes the installation of the turn signal switch.

6. Install the IOT

•Connect the IOT cable harness.

•Arrange the wire harness and place the excess wire harness into the riser.

•Separate the brake lines on both sides of the riser.

•Install the IOT on the riser, starting with the lower end and then the top.

•Separate the instrument wiring harness and the IOT wiring harness on both sides of the riser, ensuring that the IOT does not compress the wiring harness.

•Tighten the two M6*20 screws with a T30 bit, with a torque of 3.5-4 N.m.
